Drs Appointment - bummed

I had my doctor's appointment today. I'm 37 weeks 5 days right now. Well I had hoped that there would have been some dialation going on but my cervix apparently is keeping the doors closed. That's right. I'm not dialated AT ALL. I am 40% effaced, though, and the baby is head down and in position. She's just not coming out. He said it doesn't look like it is going to happen within the next week but you never know and things can change on a daily basis. It's not that I wanted to go into labor early, really, I just wanted to see some progress toward that.

On a better note my anemia and GD tests came back normal and healthy. I knew that but it was good to hear anyway. I'm healthy and happy . . . and going to have this baby in my tummy FOREVER!!!!

LOL

You need to have relations with your dh everyday.

Tarra, overall it seems like good news. :) Thankfully they can't stay in there forever - how else would they eventually make us grandparents?? lol (I know you knew that. It just seems like forever.) But then once it's over and the baby's out, it's easy to think back on how great it was being pg. I hope you can find enjoyment in the last few days of being pg - once it's over, it's over. You have a great reward when it's over, but there's nothing quite like being able to feel so fully connected to your baby as when you're still pg with them. Sending **healthy baby, good delivery** vibes your way. :) I hope things progress nicely. (I've heard over and over that births of the second (or more) ones start reaaaaally slow, but move quickly once the ball gets rolling.) Don't be discouraged if it's starting slow. That's normal from all that I've heard. It'll be D-Day before you know it. :)

Glad your tests came back normal! That's good news.

Has your dr. tried to strip your membranes to get things going? It may be too early for that.

But rest assured, your baby will NOT stay in there forever! Quarters are getting a bit tight in there and it will want to come out!
