I think I might have a slight ear infection. I am not sure if it is from the cold I have or what. Any suggestions on how to make the pain go away? I put some Similasam in my ear and taking tylenol, nothing is helping.
Awww, Mel, that is just the worst. I'm sorry your ear hurts. Heat really, really helps. Also, at Wal-Mart, with the other ear remedies (like Similason), you can buy something called Sweet Oil. Just put a little bit into a dropper, and warm it just a second or 2 in the mike, then drip it in your ear. It really helps my girls. We also use something called a wheat and heat. It is like a little pillow, full of wheat hulls (my MIL got it for us). We just heat it in the microwave and the girls take it to bed with them. I'll bet you could find something like that, too. The nice thing is, if you fall asleep, you are not using electricity, like with a heating pad. I hope you find something that help.
I'm so sorry about your Ear, I know what it is like I have always suffer ear infections, I get one at least once a year, everytime I end up going to the doctor, cause nothing works, and most of the time Dr. gives some antibiotics (sp?) drops for my ears and that usually does the trick. So hopefully any thing you use or try right now works for you. Hope you feel better soon.
OUCH, Mel!! I'm glad you're going to the doctor's today. Sounds like you have an ear infection. I hope you get some good painkiller, and antiobiotics to wipe it out.

Do you think I can find this wheat thing at Walmart or do you think I have to go somewhere special for that?
