Eating wild berries

Whenever we go to our local park, Jacob loves to pick up these tiny red berries and stick them in his mouth. I'm afraid he's swallowed some, but most of the time I'm quick enough to get them away from him before he puts it in his mouth. How do I know what these berries are and if they're poisonous? He seems to be fine but I'm scared since I don't know what they are and can't find any info anywhere to help me. Any suggestions?

Yikes, that is scary. I would call your parks and recreation department. They are in charge of the landscaping and should know what is in their park. If not call your state forestry service and they might be able to help. And last I would call the poison control center and ask how you could find out what these "berries" are.
I also have had some luck identifying plants and animals on the internet. Usually go to Google and type in your state and put something like berry trees, or poisionous berry shrubs and see what you come up with.
Good luck I hope you find what it is!
