Ok ladies I didnt know who to ask, before I call my doctor. I had Mackenzie C-Section and I had post op bleeding which was normal. It lasted about 4 weeks. A couple weeks after that I started my period and my md put me on the pill. I didnt finish the pack and I had another period but it lasted longer than normal.. about 2 weeks. It stopped about 4 days ago, and I have started my period again. I have been religious about my pill so I know its not that... Is this nornal for a post c section or should I call?
Thanks
Joni

Joni,
I don't know what to tell you, I have never had a c-sec, so I don't know whats normal or not. If having a 2 week period is abnormal for you, I would call the dr just to check. Good luck.

I never took the pill, but both my girls were born via c-section and I bled off & on for 2 months both times.
You can check with your OB if you're concerned...
I had a c-section with the twins, and my periods were absolutely horrid and erratic for about 5 months lol! Admittedly, I have PCOS, so I wasn't ever the queen of normal cycles, but. . . Even after vaginal delivery it took me a while to get back into cycle, but it seems like the uterus having to heal from basically being attacked it took a longer time. . . It might be worth a phone call to your md's nurse line just to make them aware of the situation, though. She'll probably tell you not to worry, but just in case. . . My best friend had used the same BC pills for years before her pregnancy, but after her baby came had to end up being switched to a totally different formulation--her body had just changed. There's no such thing as an stupid medical question when your health is concerned. :)
Good luck!
