Remember I warned you this would be TMI but I feel like I am going crazy here.

This past month Dh and I have decided to try for one more child. We both agreed that if it doesn't work in 2 years we will adopt. Well this month we...well you know*sorry tmi*, on two days that were excellent days for us getting pregnant. Since those two days in November on the 19 and the 21 I have thought maybe I could be. I know it is early, but with my two boys I just KNEW I was pg...and I mean from the moment of conception. I was right...lol. But this time I truly cannot tell and it is driving me crazy! I was supposed to get my AF yesterday, and so far no sign. I have had what I think are "signs" since about November 27. It started with heartburn, which I never get. I also had some

Hey, Traci ... hope you get that postive result! Sounds like (as everyone said) it may just be too early for the hormone level to register. I think I tested positive with ds (#2) at around three weeks (after suddenly feeling like I'd been run over by a truck one afternoon). And I think I hadn't quite missed my period with dd when I flunked the test at an OB checkup (that I'd made to begin investigating why I wasn't getting pregnant after one year). I was sure it would be negative. It must have been fun for the Dr. and her med tech to see the result and give me the good news! I'd had that sudden hit-by-a-truck fatigue that morning and I'd almost cancelled the appointment because I felt so bad. Very funny in retrospect.

If you don't succeed this month, I thought of a couple of other resources for you besides the one that I posted to you before. It sounds like you are already practicing some of the techniques on yor own ... you might just double check the very thorough instructions/explainations in the book to make sure you are completely on track in your understanding because a small adjustment in timing can make a big difference. There is even some info for the guys in that book (I re-post it here for anyone else who might be interested. It's also great for suggestions for avoiding preganancy if you don't like the pill and there is an interactive version of her charting stuff on ivillage, I think):

Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health (Revised Edition)
by Toni Weschler

I forward these other titles because, for me at least, when I am really concerned about something like this, I find it comforting to gather info:

Parent's Soup Charting message board (I've never checked to see if Parents Place has a version of this because I haven't been charting myself yet.)

Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom
by Christiane Northrup M.D.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0553382098/qid=1102704906/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/104-2351285-1051962?v=glance&s=books

A good general women's health reference with some alternative medicine info and lots of good pregnancy and conception stuff.

I picked up the following title after seeing it referenced in Northrup's book when it was taking a while to conceive dd, thinking that I may have some issues (I didn't after all ... this book and Weschler's book did the trick). Again, Payne's book has somewhat of an alternative medicine mindset. But it's still good food for thought.

The Language of Fertility: A Revolutionary Mind-Body Program for Conscious Conception
by Niravi B. Payne

When I was looking up the link to Payne's book for you I saw that she has a new one out ... and it sounds good. I might check it out myself.

The Whole Person Fertility Program(SM) : A Revolutionary Mind-Body Process to Help You Conceive
by NIRAVI B. PAYNE

Again, best of luck to you. Keep posting and don't worry about TMI if you want to talk.

Cheers,
D.

Cheers.

Side note:
I owed you one for pointing me to the flylady! I got her book a while ago and it's good stuff. I was doing the 15 minute rescues earlier this week ... and I realized that ... 4 out of 5 times that I set that timer for 15 minutes I end up getting interrupted and side tracked ... by the kids ... the neighbors ... the phone ... mealtimes ... diapers ... spills ... It was an eye-opener. Since staying home, I've been so down on myself for lack of ability to focus. Well ... no wonder! And I am the sort of person who likes to just lose myself in a task ... I find it calming. So all the interrruptions and juggling make me very irritable sometimes. The whole baby steps thing makes the "do a little here" "do a little there thing" more accessible to me. Because I tend to want to finish one room ... or one task to perfection ... and the mom lifestyle just doesn't jive with that. So I am learning a new way of taking care of business. I can see a difference already.

Thank YOU!!
