After Em got up this morning and was still in pain and crying, the Dr wanted to see her at 8:30am, wouldn't ya know, before we left she FINALLY got her BM out, and it was terrible!

Suppositories! That was the word I was looking for earlier and couldn't think of.

I'm glad she was able to get that out. I hope Emily starts feeling better and that her bum heals up good.

Kelly, I'm glad she's doing better. That's a tough way to wake up. Lots of hugs and positive thoughts going her (and your) way. :)

Kelly,

I am so glad that Em is feeling a little better. Judd gets constipated a lot, and then he gets a rash on top of it (where the little poop he gets out sits on his bottom) I've noticed his constipation gets worse when he drinks milk, so if he will actually take milk in his cereal, I make sure he gets white grape juice that same day or prunes. My Dr. also told me to use glycerin(sp) suppossitories when it gets too bad (Its like $2 a bottle at Wal-Mart)

Anyhow, hopefully the medicine helps Em and it doesnt get this bad again. It is soooo hard to watch them cry like that.

((Hugs)) to you and Emily!

OMG, what a horrible thing for you and Em! They just don't understand that young. Abbie gets like that sometimes and then she just holds it until its really bad. My mom told her that if she drinks lots of water and relaxes when she goes then it won't hurt. Now she has to have a cup of water before she goes and asks for everyone to be quiet so she can relax. It's really funny...she'll love hearing that story when she's 15 huh? ;)

you know, this whole thread reminds me of something I mentioned to Belles dr a loonng time ago? I had said how she would get constipated, and had issues, and it was brushed off. But I also had said that she was 2 and half ish at the time and would not go near a potty or a toilet. She is almost 4 years old now! and still refuses to go near a potty or toilet. I wonder if it has to do with constipation. I have been thinking for ages that I need a new dr, but maybe I should. I mean I did ask another dr before, and our friend who is a GP, and they never put the two together...maybe they all suck as drs lol.

Lesley-

My niece Emma is 4, and my sister has said the same thing. I know Emma has had constipation issues, I'll have to mention that to my sister...thanks for putting 2 and 2 together for me!
