so can i pick your brain some more? lol

does anyone have any cheap end of the year gift ideas for a pair of wonderful pre-k teachers? i really want to get them something to show them how much i appreciate all their effort and kindness to my dd this year, but i'm coming up with a complete blank. does anyone have any good ideas? we're broke (as always) so it's gonna have to be under 10 bucks or so. my dd had a beautiful graduation picture taken in a little cap and gown, and i'd love to do something with that, but i can't really figure out what. help?

well last yr for my dd's pre k teachers I did a few diffrent things,,,I bought some clearance fabric and some rice, ,, and made them rice bags and I found a poem to go with the rice bags saying how it was for their aches and pains, or to heat it up and keep their feet warm at night in bed,, etc.

I can look for that if you want,,,,, and I also went to the dollar store and they had these neat garden bags with little pockets in them and I filled the pockets with packets of seeds and cute little garden shovels and forks,, I got them all at the dollar store and the way I presented it you would never know it all came from the dollar store,,,

As a part time teacher while pregnant I can tell you that the one thing that teachers love to get is supplies for the classroom Often times esp for the younger grades teachers will buy things from their own pockets for the kids. A box full of fun stickers hand stamps, pencils with fun designs, etc would probably be well recieved and could be decorated by your child for a personal touch that the teacher is sure to love.

A few ideas...

If you want to use her picture, then you can buy cardboard frames for about a dollar at craft stores. Let dd use an old puzzle to glue around frame. Put two strips of magnets on back one on top and bottom for fridge hanging.

Use your computer to make iron on transfer with daughters pic, put on t-shirt from hobby store(around 3 dollars) you can make a saying like...Apple of my teachers eye(can include apple shaped transfer or patch)or make Block shape shape transfers and pic and put something like...Teachers Building Students. or One down 5 million to go! You could really use your imagination with this. You could also put dd hand print over the heart area in fabric paint, and say something sweet like..you left one on my heart to!

Some people do not like gift certificates but Teachers love them in any amount! Most Teacher supply stores have options for gift certificates. Put it in a white gift bag with daughter's hand print on outside.

Use white gift bag with drawn on or palm tree stickers, put in packs of beaty treatments(at walmart they have these for about 55cents) like foot scrub, facial spa treatments, nail file's and a beauty mask.

Oh..or you could put dd picture on a mug!

Hope you find what your looking for

New here and a preschool teacher :)

I loved getting stickers/markers/crayons/glue sticks (we use so many glue sticks). I also got a really cute apron someone made for me that said "best teacher" and was so handy to use during craft time.

My all time favorite, TRULY, is a heartfelt note of what I meant to the family and possibly some homemade baked goodies :)

My DS is also in pre-k. I can't believe Thursday is his last day! :( He is really gonna miss his teachers! Anyway thank you all for posting your ideas. I've been really racking my brain trying to figure out something to get them as well. You all have some great ideas!
