I really believe this, and people you talk to and run into happens for a reason also. Last night at my sisters graduation party, I talked to my BIL's brother's wife. She was in the same situation as me 13 years ago, her husband left and cheated, she was a SAHM to 3 kids with no college background. She was soo encouraging, it was amazing. When she was first divorced she said she was looking into the LPN program. She decided to go into an RN program instead because you make more money and more job opportunities. I am actually considering the RN program because it's only 1 extra year than the LPN and start off making $25/hr. So, it looks like if I can get accepted into an Rn program, that's the way I will go, it's a no brainer. It's a huge sacrifice for me and the boys, I wont be with them much, but I need to do this for us. I just believe me and her came across each others paths for a reason, and I was meant to talk to her.
Edited to say: My sister graduated Summa Cum Laude with a gpa of 3.97 yesterday. She has 2 boys, and her husband was gone in Iraq and Kuwait while she was in school. I am so proud of her and such an inspiration to me.
