Ex-Full time Workers???

I am currently have two children and work full time. I'm pregnant with my third (due in March) and I'm not sure that returning to work would be a great idea. I work 9-5:30 and travel 1 1/2 hours each way to and from work. I was thinking about starting a daycare or babysitting to supplement my income after the baby is born.
I get a 12 week paid maternity leave and thought I would request an unpaid personal leave up to 6 months after without losing my job. This would give me time to adjust finanically and if it didn't work out then I could still return.
As anyone been in this situation? And does anyone have any ideas for a personal leave letter? (I have no idea what to write)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

"In light of the birth of my third child that is just too cute to leave, I have decided my family is more important then this job that gives me nothing but heartache and racks up miles on my car.
That ROCKED Vanessa! Too funny. But oh so true!
We are a family of 6 (4 kids) and I only spend about $450 a month on groceries. I clip coupons and use http://www.thegrocerygame.com/ to ensure I'm buying stuff at the right time and to my advantage.
I buy formula on eBay and only if I can get it cheaper than I would in the store (not hard to do).
You find ways to save money. You realize what is a necessity and what is a want. You learn to make sacrafices for the well-being of your family. It can happen!
Great post Vanasa!
Thanks ladies for all your great advice. Living on only my husband's income is going to be extremely hard since he makes half of what I make and we bought a house in Feb. Not to mention we live in CT. But I figured we can work something out. There are many other woman in my situation where I live who do not have the option to stop working and they need good quality childcare. I'm hoping with my great references and demeanor this will help bring in some extra money. I'm crossing my fingers that I can at least stay home for 6 months. Or that my boss can't live without me (I've been at my company for 10 years) that she will finally come up with flex-time or part-time for me position (I've asked before after my second son was born). I can easily work from home.
I don't really shop for myself, we don't do any traveling, my kids aren't in any extra activties that cost money. We are trying to get out of debt and working at it slowly but it has come down. I am trying to talk to my DH about cloth diapers! I think that's a cool idea and hopefully I'll be nursing longer than my first two.
It's such a struggle for a lot of woman it aggravating! I just want to enjoy the time I have with my last baby. It all goes by so quickly.
