Fantastic Day Out For Me!!!!!!

WoooHoooo! Mil is coming up to watch the kids today and I'm going shopping, concentrating on getting something fantastic for the reunion on Saturday. I'll be going to my favorite spa for a hair cut, and a mani/pedi. I've got a gift with purchase on hold at Nordstroms, so I'll pick up that, and I got a cupon in the mail for a FREE elixir from Godiva. Never had such a thing before, but the picture of it shows a frozen drink with whipped cream and syrup. I used to get days out more frequently (about once or twice a month), needing them for mental health reasons, but since I've been posting I haven't had one since March. Something dh should be thanking you all for, I think.

Everybody have a great day!

Had a great day. I went to the Charles Penzone Grande Salon for my pedi and hair cut. Honestly it was my first pedicure ever and it was so nice. And overdue, if the state of my feet were any indication. It was fun and my toes are so darned cute now! It's funny, everyone else in the room looked like me, mom's with a day out, which made for a very comfortable environment. I'll definitely be doing that again.

My hair stylist was quite a character. I think it's the first time ever a man has done my hair. He was very highly recomended and had a number of awards in his booth. Too serious, though. He had quite possibly the biggest belt buckle (studded) I'd ever seen. And I almost asked him if someone left their purse there when I realized it was HIS!! LOL! Anyway, my hair looks great and it took him only half the time it usually does, so I'm giving him 2 thumbs up.

The shopping was great. There's nothing better than shopping WITHOUT the kids. I got a dress for tomorrow but decided to return it. I think it's just to formal for the occasion. Not really too formal, just to stand-outish. I'm from a really rural school and chances are most the people are going to show up in nascar t-shirts, jeans, and ball caps (not that there's anything wrong with that) and I don't want to stand out too much. I do have a back up outfit, though. I got the prettiest full white linen skirt from Banana Republic and I already own a pretty lavender lace cami and matching 3/4 length cardigan. I bought some pretty shoes also, half off (yay!). They're bronze with a 2" heel and open toe. They don't match my outfit, though.

Today we're returning to the mall to return that dress (at $150 I'm sorta relieved!) and to return the dress shirt and tie I bought dh (he didn't like it : ( ) and pick out another. I'm also going to look for a different top to possibly go with that skirt and probably buy another pair of shoes. I really love the bronze ones and at 1/2 off I might pick up the silver ones, which would better go with my outfit. I'd just exchange the bronze ones for the silver ones, but because they were on sale the sale was final. Darn ; ).

Rose, you should fly over one day and shop with me!! Look up Easton Towne Center on the web. It's an awesome mall, built by Les Wexner, the man behind Bath and Bodyworks, Victoria Secret, and Limited/Express. The airport is close by and there are a number of hotels on the premisis with shuttles. Very fabulous. We'd have too much fun.
