Feel inadequate as a stay at home mom? Anyone?

Just wanted to touch base with other stay at home moms, because it seems that there are fewer and fewer of us these days. I'm a stay at home mom with 2 little ones, 3 and 9 months and feel that I need more connections with moms like me! I would love to start a discussion about what we love about being a stay at home mom. As I would love to hear how you feel compared to the working moms? Do you find it a struggle financially? Do you feel that you need a outlet away from your kids? Do you feel lucky? What do your kids love about you staying at home? You don't have to answer these questions, it's just ideas where to start. Thanks mamas, I so look forward to hearing from you.

I am starting to have these days now....I am a sahm to five kids ranging in ages from 18 - 9 and I just feel like a go-fer....all I do is laundry, cooking, cleaning....and its gets tiring, boring and worthless to me cuz they do not appreciate what I do...even tho I tell them to "smarten up" and so on....its feels like it is falling on deaf ears...now mind you I do not mind doing this cuz that is why I am sahm but for heaven's sake your arms and legs are not broken go find your socks, get your own drink of juice... I have always been a sahm since I had my kids so they do not know what it is like to not have me at home when they get home from school...but on the week of Feb 3 I am off to see Heart (rock band) with my sister and her dh so I will be away for a few days and I "told" my dh that I wanted to go visit my mommy for a few days and he is panicking but, but, but, ....they are big kids they can do their lunches, dress their behinds and get to school !! I gave up alot of things so I could say home with my kids - my credit card, my spending money and my perks - new shoes, new purse every spring/summer, new clothes etc and it was hard....but I know the kids don't get it yet, not sure they will get until they move out and get their own places and pay their own bills... I sometimes feel like going back to work but I just moved to a small town and jobs are hard to come by and plus I have been out of the work force for about 20 yrs so it would be a challenge for me for sure....if I had to do it all over again I do not think I would change a thing ...except manage my time better....compromise with some key people along the way.... hope some other people answer, love to hear their responses...
