My schedule canceled on me today. I was wondering if anyone has any fun stories about their child(ren).

When my DS was 2, just before DD#1 was born, we were visiting the inlaws. I was exausted and taking a nap when DS burst into the room, held out his hand and yelled "Momma, this is dog poop or I can have it?" Not exactly what you would like to wake up to, but as it turned out he had gotten into my mil's dehydrator & got a peice of deer jerky. Wacky kid!

Oh were do I begin? When my eldest was 2 I was working 2 jobs so we could get the house we have now. My DH worked 2nd shift job and had our DD all to himself during the day. One day he woke from a nap on the couch to see our very very very shinny cat walk by. He got up and in the next room he found Makinsey playing with a jar of vaseline. The cat was covered and so was she. I washed her hair a billion times with no result. I ended up having to take her out to the driveway and rub dirty all through her hair then I used dish soap........It wasnt too much longer and she did it again to him. I ended up hiding the vaseline after that. Eileen

We had a similar situation only it was lotion and the cat just as we were headed out the door for church. Needless to say we bathed the cat instead of going to church that day. The guilty party remains anonymous to this day =)

Well the most recent funny story involves both the girls( 3 and 19mos tomorrow). My mom was in a Christmas cantata at church and was practicing all the time. There's 1 song that has a gospel vibe to it. Both of the girls have fallen in love with it! Olivia goes over to the cd player and starts dancing saying Jesus! Jesus! When the music starts they go crazy dancing and singing.Elise grabs the guitar and "plays". They know almost all the words and both sing at the top of their lungs. It's too cute!!!

I can't say that this is funny, but my dd decided to draw all over the back of my piano (that I've had for 27 years) this morning. I literally cried buckets, and didn't think I would ever stop until DH pointed out that one of my brothers had written "I love my sissy" years before. I'm trying really hard to tell myself that years from now, her artwork will just be another mark in the history of my baby piano, and of course also remind myself that (as so appropriately put by Bill Cosby) that all children have brain damage LOL.

I was cutting my DD hair into a short bob (lice was going around and she had had it a couple times aready) She was scared I was going to get her ear with the scissors. I told her to suck her ears in and she asked me how. I told her to suck in air and try hard to pull her ears in. Well...she did it. Her ears really didnt move but she wasnt so afraid anymore. Then MIL (she's cool) and my DD ran to her and said "Watch what I can do" I died laughing. She showed alot of people b4 I told her it was a joke. She wasnt mad all she said was "u tricked me!!!!!" lol

another time I was at the mall and DD's socks were falling down. I told her to fix them. She was 3 and an old lady walked by all hunched over. Makinsey said "grama can you help me?" That lady did and gave her a hug. I felt so bad but the lady seemed to have really loved it.

My DS (4) is afraid of butterflies....really. We were standing on the porch last summer and there were alot of butterflies out. One started towards him and he started backing up. then it almost got tooclose and got too scared and turned to run but instead ran into the air conditioner. He could care less about that, he was still looking for that butterfly!!!!
Ok Ok thats enough....I have more!!!!! Eileen

Oh the cat cleaned himself the best I tried to help but he wasnt havin it!

After the fish died from being exposed to calamine lotion I feared for the cat's health, besides the fact that he is a beautiful long haired ball of sweet black fluff. He sure did look funny trying to hide in the soap dish!

I'm so sorry about the piano. I would have been so completly over the edge about it that DH would have sent me for a time out. Good thing he is so much more mellow than me, somebody has to deal with things intelligently when they happen. =) I usually flip out and then come to my senses after I have blown things out of proportion.
