Molly started 1st grade and Katie started 3rd grade. It was a very exciting day around here. Molly couldn't wait for the bus to come (totally opposite of last year - she didn't like getting on the bus every day - but then again, she went to a different school than her sister, as they don't have Kindy at their school, it is too small). It was very strange being here all day, by myself. I did go to school at lunch, for recess duty, and got to see them. She was so happy to be there. A friend called me and told me how adorable my girls were when they got off the bus. Katie was in charge, making sure Molly got to her line o.k. Then another friend, whose dd sits right next to Molly, called me later to tell me how well Molly did. I was so glad. They go to school in a very old, original school house, and there is a bell, with a rope. The 1st graders all get to take a turn ringing the bell on the 1st day of school. I think this was the hilight of her day! LOL!

Anyhow, just thought I'd share.

It sound like everything went great! I love the idea of ringing the bell on the first day of school, that is so cute.

Way to go Molly and Katie!! How excited they must be. And now you get some time alone. I kinda miss those days being all alone, but then I would just sleep all day or spend money that we don't have...lol.
