Hello stay at home moms, what a wonderful opportunity we have to be able to spend our days with our children, I absolutely love it, but I have to be honest in that I am in need of adult conversation once in a while so when I saw this message board I saw some relief. I am new to the message board arena. I am the proud mama to Ashley who just turned 12 months on 9-19! We had a wonderful party with family and friends and Ashley was the belle of the ball :0) I do watch a couple of kids throughtout the week to help some friends out that work so Ashley gets plenty of interaction that way but I would really like to become a part of a play group and have been unsuccessful finding any in my area. Any suggestions on how to start or find a play group.

Thanks for listening

I read your post to me on another subject. Your are truly a blessing to those other women. I could not do it. Maybe to watch one other child, but that would be it. I love having my two boys, but there are times when I just want to run away from it all or crawl in a deep hole. Most of the time though, I look at how beautiful they are and it makes my heart sing. When I had my first, I was very lonely and didn't know how to find playgroups or anything. You might check http://www.gospelcom.net/mops/ for one in your area. Maybe find a church that would have a group. Sometimes your or other hospitals have groups or classes for moms and babies. http://www.momsclub.org/links.html check this site out too. http://www.childavenue.com/pages/playgroups_pages/playgroups.html

http://www.matchingmoms.org/ . These are some more that I found online. I hope they help you out. I'm going to look into them too. Good luck and you can always talk to me at athlierman@ispwest.com.
