Good Friday Morning! (m)

After that - nothing planned, woohoo!!! I'm not sure if we'll come home or run some errands, but I'm just glad we don't have to run off somewhere else for once!

Tomorrow Dave is planning to take the kids out of the house so I can finish painting the baseboards & doors in his bathroom downstairs, as well as clean it. Somehow I think I'm getting the raw end of the deal, LOL. Tomorrow night we're thinking about taking the kids to see the first Harry Potter movie - they're showing it outside on the side of a barn at a local park. It's free and sounds like fun. It doesn't start until 9PM, though, so we'll have to see how Kaitlin and Jeremy are doing by that time.

I really hope Dave and I get to spend some time together this weekend. He's been working so late all the time and I feel like I haven't seen him in weeks! Oh, and get this - he got his mid-year review yesterday. He was basically rated *average* on everything. He asked his boss what was up with that because he really doesn't know what he can do any better than he already is. His boss said he doesn't want him to change a thing; he's doing the same excellent job he did last year. His company conducts their reviews by comparing a person's performance in the current year to how they performed in the past year. Basically, he has set an extremely high standard for himself in the past, so if he continues to perform way above average, he's only going to get an *average* rating, because that is what is expected of him. Talk about taking away any incentive to do better!!! Dave's boss couldn't give him one thing he can do to improve his rating, so he'll just continue to get *average*, even though he does so much more than anyone else there - does that suck or what?!

Well, I gotta get moving. TGIF!
