Ok, I've been thinking a lot about sending Dom to a preschool this Fall. He will be 3 Sept. 21. With the new baby coming in November, I figure we won't be making it out much, especially in the snow and he will get bored being at home since we are very active now. Plus, he loves going in the playroom at the Y while I workout, and the don't take babies until they're 3 months. Do you think it would be a good idea to enroll him in a preschool/daycare type thing 2 days a week?

I dont see anything wrong with it. Especially during the winter months. If you or he, doesnt like it, you can always pull him out.

good luck

I think it is a fantastic idea. Molly never had any daycare or preschool, so when she hit kindy, she was sooooooooooooooo attached to me. Made it tough. If Dom has his own school, he will make some nice little friends and gain some independence. I say go for it!!

I saw it is a good idea.
I did it with Andrew just for him to be around other children his age. He did learn a lot.
Hope he enjoys it if he goes.

Kate I used to teach preschool and pre-k. I am very against children under 3 going to daycare but I will say that 3 year old's in partime care can do very, very well.

3 year olds I noticed are much more able and willing to be cared for. I would reccomend a preschool though and not a daycare. preschools are more geared towards learning and making sure the teacher is more qualified. I hope you find a great one! Good luck!
