Grocery Store Etiquette Part Two

Went to the grocery store tonight and I had another thought related to our past discussion. It seems like grocery shopping is something personal to people that they've just been caught at when you see someone you know at the store. Know what I mean? (Yes, I again, saw someone I knew, but not well.) If you think about our past postings on this topic I started before, people seem embarrassed and uncomfortable many times. Maybe they were deep in thought and they were caught off guard. I know I'm thinking a lot when I am grocery shopping.

Perhaps they think that you have seen their home pregnancy test/condoms/yeast infection creme/tabloid/maxi pads/tampons/feminine deodorant/ etc. and they are embarrased.
When I was a teacher, I was shopping and I only had a few things in my basket. One thing was a pregnancy test. Well, a student and mom saw me. I turned 15 shades of purple and did my darndest to hide it (Turned out to be a false alarm). In hindsight, they probably didn't see it but since it was on my mind it looked like it had a neon arrow pointing to it! LOL

I think you forgot hemoriod creams...I had that in my cart once...which I bought for my Grandma, as I was doing her shopping (come on ladies, if I had, I'd tell you!!!)
I ran into the "popular girl" from high school, and was mortified that she would see it...well, not just that, but I also had the hpt, pads, and breast pads for nursing...sexy basket let me tell you!!!

I forgot to add, that when we were ttc baby #1, my dh stopped off after work to pick up another hpt, and a pack of my pads...just in case either way...
He ran into his boss in line at the store...talk about embarassment!!! He handled it well, and came home and said he was never buying the two products together again!
I don't think there is a "grociery store ettiquette - for men-buying womans personals" manual, but there should be!
