I love that Brittany (8) and I can talk and connect on a higher level. I love watching her interact w/friends and hearing bits of me in her conversations. I love how funny she is - she is really a fun girl to be around ! I love her big big heart. She loves everyone and every creature and is always so considerate of feelings...
I love watching Destiny (6) figure out a puzzle or write a story. She is a serious concentrator and she puts everything she has into figuring things out. I love how girly she is - hair done, dress on, Mary Janes polished up - that's so me. I love to hear her sing - she sings ALL the time...
And Colton (2.5) - I never knew having a son would be so amazing. He is such a little man, so every big fat kiss and every hug is such a joy. I love that he is filthy dirty by the end of the day - he plays so hard. I love fat, sticky little fingers. I love hearing him say something new every day. I love how he now has definite likes and dislikes - loves purple, bugs, mac & cheese, and Spiderman...dislikes pink, soap, veggies and the hose.
And I love knowing all of this - being home allows me to know each of my babies on a level that some mother's don't achieve. I am proud and lucky to have such a relationship with them, and I hope they someday feel the same about me...

Oh my gosh Liz, that made me cry...
Your kids sound like wonderful little human beings : )
I love that Katie (9 1/2) is a sweet girl, innocent, caring, nurturing. She loves life, learning and helping others. She is generous, carefree and sensitive. She is really starting to blossom into a young girl (sniff, sniff) and I'm truly proud of who she is becoming. I love that my little Molly (6 1/2) is still my little girl. She is very loving, shy, sweet. She loves to dress girly and look pretty. She is nurturing and loves to play with her dollies - feed them, clothe them, bathe them, give them naps. She tells me constantly she wants to be a mommy when she grows up. She loves to bake with me and helps me clean. I love that she wants to follow in my footsteps. Being a SAHM has awarded me the opportunity to be connect with my daughters and be a huge part of their lives. I'm truly lucky to be with them and am quite sure that is why our relationship is what it is.

::SNIFF, SNIFF:: These are too precious. . . Great idea, Tanya!!
Have I mentioned how much I love my kids?? Their innocence, their beauty, their eagerness to please, their curiosity, their intelligence, their energy. . .
I am so proud of my oldest Matthew, because he has such a beautiful, kind, sensitive heart for others and for animals. He is intense and introverted and creative, and so smart. And he's going to be an architect or something because he can build the most amazing structures with Leggos. He has a good imagination, and is the most polite and respectful child (to others besides us, LOL!). His greatest attribute is his heart, though. He naturally feels for others and knows how to make them feel good. He even has a tendency to put others ahead of himself--rare in a 7.5 year-old kid!! For example, at Thanksgiving, we ate with my ILs, and we all went around and said what we were most thankful for. While all his cousins and brother listed games, toys, etc. Matthew said he was most thankful for my FIL (Grandpa), and it was *exactly* what my FIL--who is recently widowed and depressed--needed to hear. I was so proud of him, because he did that with no prompting! I just treasure his beautiful heart.
And my Little Man Jusin: He's every mom's dream who wants a son. He's soooooo smart. We were told by his pre-K teacher that she thinks he's gifted. Nothing gets by him, his mind is like a whip. At 4.5 years old, he constantly amazes us with his advanced thinking. His vocabulary is outrageous. He is curious about everything. His imagination is amazing (he even scares himself with it, LOL!). He has a great sense of humor. He is so affectionate, and cuddles me all day. He tells me "I love my beautiful Mommy sooooooo much" and my heart just melts. He is the most cuddly kid in the world! And he is gorgeous to look at with big dark eyes and long eyelashes, dimples and perfect little features. He is so handsome and all boy, boy, boy. He is going to make some lucky lady very happy someday.
And my pretty girls. . . First Jenna: She's turning out to be my firecracker. She's friendly, warm, generally happy, playful, sweet, loving and funny! With her high-spirited energy, she's an experience I wouldn't have missed. I see myself as a little girl in Jenna. She's very intense and creative. She loves to draw and color. She makes me drawings and I treasure all of them. And her laughter is like nothing else. When she smiles, the sky lights up. . . And Tessa: My shy, introverted, sweet Tessa. So sensitive and fine-tuned. All girly, girly, girl. She's so funny--she's into her shoes and walks along watching her feet. If her hair barrette falls out, she stresses. It's so funny to see the little girl in her--so feminine and sweet and sensitive. And she's my other affectionate one. Without saying a word, she'll just come cuddle, or if you're sad, she caresses your arm to make you feel better. It's so much fun to see them learning and growing and trying new things all the time. They've changed and grown so much in the past year--from toddler to little kid. While it makes me nostalgic in one way, it also makes my heart swell with pride and love!!
