I just found out that I signed up for the Halloween party. I thought I signed up for Valentine's but I guess I did both. LOL Anyway, I was supposed to have a mom help me but she decided she wanted to do snacks instead. So it is just me. I thought about maybe musical chairs but it is an hour party. Any ideas??? HELP!!!! LOL

Im in the same boat as you, but I have some help with 3 other moms. I have to organize a game and I was thinking about hot potato with a pumpkin--a really small one. And use a Halloween cd for the music. I might use that one, but I hope someone else here has some suggesstions!:)
Hey guys, I am coordinating 2 parties one for ds's 3 yr old Preschool class and dd's 1st grade class. For games with ds's class, we are playing bowling with pumpkins, and bean bag toss into plastic pumpkins with rubber bats and rats thrown in, and pin the tail on the black cat.
For dd's class we are playing Halloween word game...each classmate gets a halloween bag to decorate and puts 10 pieces of candy in the bag. They are given a list of three words like Halloween, candy, and spooky they can't not say during the party. If another classmate catches them saying one of the words then that classmate that said the word has to give the other a piece of candy...,
Make the zombies laugh...One classmate is it, the rest are to freeze in a zombie position. The classmate that is it is to try to make the zombies laugh. As the zombies laugh they become it too and they are to try to make the other zombies left laugh too until only one is left. The last zombie left is the winner...,
Clammy eyeballs...This game is hot potato with a hard boiled egg. The egg will be in a plastic ziploc bag because these are first graders. Lol.
Bobbing for apples. the apples will be balloons in a rubbermade crate. Because they are in a crate the static electicity will make them stick to their heads.
There are many website that will give you halloween party game ideas. Hope some of these ideas help.
Pin the eyes ears nose and mouth on the pumkin is fun and easy to propare.

Here are some other ideas that we have used at our Fall Festival:
1) Hula hoop toss over pumpkins
2) Tricycle relay race through a pumpkin obstacle course
3) "Needle in a haystack" game - hide large wooden knitting needles in a pile of hay and let them search for them (works well outdoors - it's messy)
4) Diggin' for taters game - hide large potatoes in a pile of dirt or top soil and let them dig for them - also is messy and really only works outdoors
5) Face painting is always a hit - if you can find some Halloween tatoos those are even easier
Hope that helps - good luck!!!
