whoa momma! that's a LONG url!!!

anyway, if you want to use the "one loop, push through" method, you could use "over the river and through the woods" http://wilstar.com/holidays/overriv.htm

this link has some helpful info too: http://www.chasa.org/tyingshoes.htm

Are you kidding?? I have an 8 year old who would still happily walk around tripping on his shoe laces left to his own devices!! ACK! Wil finally learned to "tie" his shoes, but his method still mystifies me, and somehow is completely impossible to untie. He has one pair of shoes I literally had to CUT the laces off of with scissors after he tied what can only be described as the mother of all knots. The kid is a Cub Scout, he can tie a half hitch, hitch, square and clove knot, but he still can't make a simple bow. Go figure lol. . . Hope you have better luck! :)

LOL, that was a cute post.
When Andrew wants to tie his shoes, I get the same result.
I heard that it is not uncommon for a 8 year old to not know how to tie their shoes.
They say from 3-8 is when they learn.
