Hi everyone!
I am new to this board. Just looking for some help. I know that I should be appreciating staying home with my 14 month old daughter, but I am sometimes overwhelmed and crazy! She barely naps (maybe twice a day for 40 minutes. It doesn't give me any real time to myself. I clean up her breakfast or lunch throw a load of clothes in and then she's up again! Some days I just feel like crying because my husband thinks that because he works he doesn't have to help me with any household chores. And then claims because he cooks supper once in a while (and makes a HUGE mess) I should feel lucky! Lucky to stay home and lucky he will cook. I have worked my whole life and this is MUCH harder than any job I have ever had!!!

Can someone please help me...I really need some advice and guidance.

Thank you so much!!

I don't have much advice, but I wanted to give you hugs, you will make it through this rough patch.
We are here for you :)

I am sorry your having a rough time! I know what it is like having a little one who doesn't nap well. Something that helped me was that I would play soothing backgroud music during the day. Also Someone taught me a trick of putting a little lavender oil on my sons pillowcases to help him sleep.

Johnsons baby lotion also made a product called "soothing bedtime lotion", that really seemed to help.

For getting your Dh to help I say turn to http://www.flylady.net

This is a free service which helps to keep your house organized. It also has great tips on getting husbands and kids to help out.

Best wishes to you! And welcome to the board!

Maybe she's ready to go to one nap. Both my boys switched from 2 naps to 1 nap right at 15 months. If you can keep her up a little longer in the morning, then maybe she'll start taking a longer nap for you in the afternoon. Hopefully:)
