I have been a stay at home mom for three years now and I have 5 children my question is to you ladies is do your husbands help around the house? I have always done eveything from cleaning and cooking to laundry which I don't mind but the other night I was cleaning up supper and my husband was watching tv I asked him if he ever feels like he should help with cooking or dishes or pretty much anything and for some reason he looked suprised like he hasn't ever even thought about it which made me laugh alittle! Don't get me wrong he is a wonderful husband and father and he works very hard so we can have a nice house and our kids can do all the extra activities but man I just get tired sometime and want alittle break from all the daily things I do to keep my house clean and laundry done! Sorry if this was more of a vent then a question just wondering how everyone else handles cooking, cleaning, laundry and just keeping up with the kiddos if it is more shared or more you because you are the stay at home parent? My husband does a lot around the house.  He does laundry on the weekends, vacuums, and will do organizing and deep cleaning.  He's not the best about cleaning up after himself in the kitchen, though, and that drives me nuts.

Oh, it is definitely more me.  DH does dishes once a week with my oldest son, our homestay student does dishes once a week, and our nanny does the breakfast dishes, but I do the rest.  I do the laundry, the vacuuming, I wash the windows and dust and wash the floors, I make dinner every night.  On the one hand, I wish that everyone else would help out more, but on the other hand, I'm a very controlling person and I don't like it when other people interfere with my schedule.

Right now DH is home during the day and he's walking on eggshells trying not to be in my way.

I know how you feel! I have been staying home for over 5 years and I only have 2 kids! My Hubby works hard to and some days I just say to him. umm hello!!! you live here too, clean up after yourself! lol I guess it's just the joys of being a SAHM I guess. I think they just need reminded every now and again that they live here too, we are not robots and some times we need a day off too.
