I went to the doctor this morning (it was the day for doctor's appointments for us preggies!) and NOTHING is happening down under. I'm still closed tight and not having any timeable contractions or anything. My due date is in two days!
So, if nothing happens for the rest of the week or over the weekend we will be going in to induce on Monday. I guess I have to call the Women's Center at six that morning to make sure everything is a go, and once I get the okay then we go to the hospital at seven and induce. I actually met a nurse that will be there on Monday. She was assisting my doctor, filling in for the regular nurse at my doctor's office, and she is really nice so it would be great to get to work with her since I already know her.
My doc did say that weird things happen around the due date and things could pick up and labor could begin naturally at any time. But the baby will be here within the next five days regardless of how things go.
I just keep getting the feeling that something is happening or is about to start and then I'm disappointed to find out that nothing is. :( Oh well, it's almost over. I guess I should just enjoy this last bit of time and enjoy the kicking and rolling in my tummy, huh? Pretty soon I won't have that and I will probably be sad.

ok, if I am not mistaken, the drug that I was talking about is called cytotec or also called misoprostol. no, I am not a dr or anything lol, but I have heard many negative thigs about, so maybe just look into it, and make sure that you are comftorable with whatever you and your dr decided kwim lol?
good luck and I cant wait to see pictures of her!
Misoprostol! That was the drug that the doctor said they use. I'll ask about that Monday morning when I go in. My doctor is the type that will try anything before resorting to a c-section so I would think that whatever he says to do is going to be whatever will give the lesser chance of a c-section possibility.
We'll see . . .
