..........and so have I. I don't know what to do. Right now he is in his crib wailing. It's 4am. He's been up since 1:15, and I wasn't able to fall asleep anytime before then. He went down around 10:45. He woke up screaming. He's been doing this for the past week. He just now started really walking(yay!) do you think that is why he doesn't want to sleep? He's normally a really good sleeper. HELP! I'm about to pull my hair out.

I hope you get some sleep soon Jenny. We co-slept with our kids which helped a lot but I know it is not for everyone. There is a new sleep board here at ivillage that I will try and find for you.

I still get this with Dalton and he is 19 months old.
I really hope he sleeps through the night for you soon.
Do you have a schedule each night? Has he been eating something that is bothering him or a change somehow in his food or routine or home?
There is a book I read that helped with a lot of different situations that occur, called sleeping through the night (so you can too). I really liked it.
Good luck.

It seems like he's always had trouble sleeping straight thru the night. There have been a few times where he will sleep straight thru, and honestly I can't say what the difference was those nights as compared w/every other night.

Let's see, I just started putting about 1/3 of regular milk in w/his formula, since I'll be switching over soon to regular milk at 12 months, but that was just yesterday and he's been waking up like this for the past week, but last night was the worst. Also, my dh started a new job on Tues that had him getting up at 2am, but we didn't change anything in Jacob's routine, we give him a bath at around 8 or 8:30 and he will be asleep by 9, usually, sometimes though he won't fall asleep right away so we let him have some quiet play time. Last night my mom was over, he's used to her though, he loves spending time w/her, and my dh went to bed early, then my mom left and Jacob didn't go to sleep until 10:45pm. Because of last night, it was so hard for me to be the only one up w/him w/out getting any sleep before he woke up, my dh didn't go in to work, only his 4th day, so I don't think he will be going back. It's a second job, to help w/finances and insurance, since he works for himself but I think we are going to have to sell our duplex and live in an apartment for a few years to save up for a new house.......this is a whole other post!

Anyway, the only other thing I can think of is because he has just started walking and he can't settle down. He will get so tired but will push me away so I'll lay him down or put him down and he'll want me again! It was back and forth like that all night, then my dh finally got him down around 6:30am......he woke up at 11:30! And is just now taking his first nap, it's 4:30pm. I am so exhausted! =( I feel like I'm losing my mind and that I must be contributing to his problems somehow, I must be a horrible mother. That's how I feel right now. I feel like crying but I can't so all I can do is go into the other room and scream and throw things and stuff like that. I get so mad but really I'm just so tired and worried about my little baby. What's wrong w/him!??
