Not much going on here, just the same old.
Hi Traci!!!!
Good to have you back. It's frusterating when your computer dies, you never know how much you use it until you can't!
How were your holidays?
Lesley
Hey Lesley!
The Holidays were great! The kids got the things they wanted...
Matt wanted a dirt bike but he is only seven so we compromised and got him an mx3. Looks like a dirt bike but only goes up to 10 miles an hour.
Nick got the trycicle he has been wanting plus the little people castle he has been asking for. They loved opening their gifts and have been playing with them non-stop. I think Dh and I

Nothing too new and exciting around here.
Christmas was busy, running from house to house, eating too much, not sleeping enough. New Years was nice, we stayed home and two couples we are friends with came over for dinner, and spent the night. (It's a long drive for them)
We are still ttc, and it's driving me nuts, I can't beleive how long this one is taking!
Oh well, it'll happen when it does.

Hey Desiree!
Glad to see you! I hope you are feeling well. Any morning sickness? Keep us updated about that precious baby!

I'm hanging in there :o)
The only nausea I still have is when I brush my teeth - YUCK! I have my ultrasound on Feb 2nd, so hopefully the baby won't be shy that day LOL. It would help to know if I need to wash the girl clothes or buy boy stuff :o)
I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't pregnant... I was so hoping for exciting news when you came back. Hopefully you'll be blessed soon with another little one!
I started homeschooling Natalie with her preschool. I found a book at WalMart for less than $4 that has "everything for preschool", and we've been working on beginning reading. She lOVES IT, and can't wait to start kindergarten this fall. I found a H S support group that offers soccer for the kids, and she has her heart set on that too. I was really scared at first that I would be a bad teacher, and that she wouldn't cooperate, but once I made the final decision that this is what I wanted to do, things have been getting easier.
hey, I wanted to ask you, what kind of schedule do you follow? Do you have school on the same days that the local public school system has school, or do you make up your own?

Desiree,
Sending you some non-shy baby vibes...lol. Dh and I have become pretty casual about the baby making. We figure if it is meant to be...
As for our schedule, our style of homeschooling is "school at home". So we try to follow a schedule every day. But I do not stress out if we need more time for a project or if something interferes. If Matt has his heart set on finishing a science project then I let him finish, or if he wants to read one more chapter of his book I will let him.
We usually work up to the day before mayjor holidays, except for Easter as this is a very important holiday to our family. I gave Matt this past summer off, but we might extend a bit into the summer and start our school year a little earlier than the public schools.
We will probably take the whole of September off since this in when we plan on taking a family vacation.
Our daily schedule looks like this...
8:00 - Math
9:00- Outside break
9:15- baby nephew arrives, Snack/ circle time for little ones
9:30- Spelling
10:00- Music Theory-mon, tues, fri:
