Hi everyone! Newbie with question....

I don't know if I intro'ed myself so I will do it again:
My name is Danyell, sahm to Taylor (3) and RJ (2). My problem is this, Taylor has been kind of "wandering" around lately. It's obvious she is bored, but I am out of ideas to keep her entertained. I rent movies, do crafts, let her play with her leappad, I am just out of options. I am also in the process of trying to start a new business, and write a book so I spend ALOT of time on this computer. Being that Dh is the only one working, we can't afford to send her to school very often ($75/day for two). What should I do? I can't spend all day entertaining two kids, and I feel guilty when I shoo them out of my room so I can get some work done.
Any suggestions?

Good luck...I'll write later if anything else comes to mind

Hey there. I am also writing a book! I have to full of a schedule during the day homeschooling my kids 8 and
My name is Mel. I am 25 years old and a sahm of 4 years to Andrew and Dalton. We live in GA.
One place you can find things for your kids to do it familyfun.com. Have you tried Baby Einstein videos?
Good luck.
Hi Danyell!
Nice to meet you. Do you have time in your schedule for once a week at the library? My girls have ALWAYS loved storytime (usually last ~1/2hr or so) and then the chance to pick out their own books. It was great. Not to mention FREE!! Just a thought I had (sorry if it was already mentioned above - I didn't read the other responses yet- call me lazy LOL!)
Also, check out your church, if you have one. Lots of time they have mommy and me mornings (also free) where you get together for playtime. If you can pick one day out of your week to do something extra fun, it may make it easier, during the times you are working. She may also meet some new friends and then, consequently, have playdates. Although you may have to reciprocate, if you also plan a short time to focus on just the children, the guilt (at least for me), isn't as great.
I wish you luck in settling into your new found "job" and also luck in your book. It is tough getting used to staying home. I started when my youngest dd was 8 mos. and my oldest dd was 3 1/2. It is now 5 years later and I still love my "job" :)
Best of luck,
Wendy
Elise and Olivia will both be big sisters!
