I was just curious about what age a baby holds their own bottle. My daughter is 3 1/2 months sometimes she will and sometimes she won't. Is she just being lazy or is she not "ready" to do it yet.

She's probably not ready. I mainly BF my son, but when we switched to bottle at 6 months, he was holding it right off the bat. You can read more here. It's probably too early.

I am sure it has nothing to do with being lazy. She probably isn't ready yet. My daughter a preemie and never did hold her bottle. I didn't mind holding it for her. When she went to a sippy cup she just learned to hold it on her own. Give her time. 3 months is still pretty young to be holding their own bottle. Trish :)
