Thank you all for putting up with my venting, ranting, and whinning over the past 3.5 months. You can all breath a big sigh of relief in knowing that you never have to listen to me complain about selling a house again (at least for the next 3-5 yrs)
It's a DONE DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so freakin excited, but kind of queasy at the same time. Long story short... things were good last week, then we got a call on thursday night (i think???) that the bank had overlooked something (a debt we had and wanted to pay off) and since it wasnt calculated into his (the bankers) overall costs, we were no longer qualified for the mortgage. I swear, dh & I nearly died. Friday, was a day of running back and forth to the bank, the person we had to deal with, wanted to play God all of a sudden, and basically told me, that I have to go to work, or else my family will suffer, and never get ahead. then a whole lot of stuff happened, that I cant say on here lol.
Anyways, today was our deadline, because the buyers here, had thier home inspection (and it was perfect) and also were required to put down thier non-refundable deposit, and they did. We were required today to do the same, but couldnt do it right away, because this moron at the bank had us in there for what turned out to be a fricking marriage counselling session (in his eyes lol...he was telling us that as a "unit" we must "talk" about our future, not just live it...and how we should have at least a 5yr plan" bla bla bla"....is he so dumb to think that we have 2 kids, and haven't talked about our future plans lol???) ... that's a WHOLE other story.
Anyway... as of 6pm tonight, it was a signed, and closed, completed deal on both sides.
I have less than 3 weeks to pack now lol!
Thanks again ladies!

Congrats...
Welcome to the board, sorry I suck at getting to the intros on time lol
I hope your home sells soon, it is soooo hard keeping it show-ready 24/7 and having kids to deal with. We were listed for about 3.5 months, and had showings almost daily except for the week between Christmas and New Years (but there were a few in there lol)
good luck to you , and hope to hear more from you soon!
btw, I'm Lesley, married for almost 5 yrs to my best friend that I've known since the 5th grade. We live in the Vancouver BC area, and have a dd, Isabella 3.5yrs, and a ds, Jett who will be 1 on March 24.
Lesley, thanks for the welcome. :o) Well your house showed waaaaay more than ours does! lol. Maybe it will pick up as the weather gets warmer...only hopefully not this morning...because I slept in and its a total wreck right now, lol... *sigh*

You KNOW I'm excited for you girl! I wish I was close enough to come help you pack :o)
I still can't believe the nerve of that guy!
When we moved the last time, we got most of our boxes from the local liquor store... they were sturdy and small, so it made carrying them so much easier. Of course it was kind of funny when I still had liquor boxes all in my house a year later, considering we don't drink much. I told my dad, "you know you're a redneck when you carry your daughter's birthday party stuff to the park in a J&B box" lol
