How to maintain sanity with neighbor kid

We have new neighbors right next door with 2 daughters my 2 daughters age (7 and 4). They have been here for a few months and it was fun at first-having instant playmates. But over the summer it has just escalated to pure frustration. We can't do anything in our backyard anymore as a family without being bothered by them. The older one rings the doorbell when we are eating and rings it 10 min later after we told her we are eating. The parents both work, so I think they like it that the kids have someone to play with. The kids get along most of the time, but it's just too much. Our yards are really close together so it's not like we can ignore them. To make matters worse, the older girls just started school and are in the same class together this year. My youngest just started K, so I am going through a hard phase where I really like my time alone with them after school. My older DD thinks I'm mean because I do not let them play whenever they want to-I am afraid I'm losing communication with her and she takes the neighbor girls side. Plus at this age girls are so two faced to each other it drives me nuts. Last weekend they had company over and the older girl was very mean to my girls and said "you can't come over and play we have company, stay off of our property, etc. Then when their company is gone they are so sweet and nice and act like nothing happened. What do I do? (besides move). TIA Ann

back home we had a kid like that and it drove me nuts...its so hard to say something to a child without hurting their feelings....is there anyway that maybe you can all sit down and post up a new rule list, that during so and so times that no one is allowed over because its family time/chores...that rate they dont think you are coming at them in such a harsh way?...I know we had to do something like this
