My issue is my husband is a cop and works the 3-11 shift.. He does street crime/undercover and I don't always get to hear from him,, so I stay awake until he calls and says he is on his way (an hour commute) but on his way sometimes is 2 am when the bust is made etc.. So there are nights I literally get 5 hours by the time he gets in and then I have to get my oldest up for school.. Is it sad that I'm starting to feel normal from it??

I'm in bed close to 8 but with so many years of waking up with the kids I tend to have trouble staying asleep so I'm normally up for an hour or 2 in the middle of the night.

How do you manage 8 to 9 hours sleep each night?

I have 2 kids who like to come to my room in the middle of the night and climb into my bed. Usually I like to get at least 8-9, otherwise I feel sluggish but most nights I get only 6-7 and I definitely need a nap half way through the day.

I usually get around 9 hours. I always feel like I could sleep longer too. But I've always been that way.. I like to sleep!

Depends on the night! Connor's only 9.5 months and doesn't really STTN. Most nights he is in bed with me anyway, I tend to get more sleep those nights, which is why I don't care or bother to move him to his crib! On a "good" night, when he's in his crib, he'll sleep in 4-5 hour stretches.... I'm waiting for the 12 hour stretches :D lol
