hi- i'm Jen. i'm TTC (first month). i'd love to meet moms/moms2be & don't know how outside my inner circle (church/few close friends). i do volunteer for a couple charities for children & have met only much older women w/o young children.
i always hear there are new-mom groups- but what things could i join as a not-yet mom?
i can't do: mommy & me classes or breastfeeding support group- right?
the hospital offers a birthing class over a weekend-- that seems too brief.
prenatal yoga was my best idea-- but my ONLY idea :(
i think there must be more- like a community parenting association but can't find such a thing yet.
any ideas would be a help!
all but 1 of my friends are single & working during the day when i'm available & my best friend doesn't want children.
TIA!
Jen

Good luck TTC!

i'm katie, SAHM with my 27 month old son. The way I meet new moms is through mommy and me classes, me and my son take a swimming class at the YMCA. I don't know if you have one near you, but they have a class for expecting moms, its like a nutritional and workout class. I'm sure you can meet some new moms through that. Prenatal yoga and pilates is great, you can meet a lot of people, plus get a great workout. Hope this helps,
Ivillage has some boards for TTC so you could try and see if there is anyone in your area there.
Here is a link also for some meeting groups. This is a free service. I know that once I saw a TTC #1 group for in my area. You could search in your area or start your own if there is not one...

Hope this helps! Congratulations on TTC we hope to see you around the board often!
