Good morning,
Yesterday I had a dr's appt so my husband took my 3 year old to pick up my daughter (8) from school. He got home let my son out of car then my daughter and took her inside while my 3 year old waited in garage he thought he'd stay right there. He only turned his back a minute and he was gone. He so said he looked all over then called the police and got neighboors out , he Im thinking did this pretty quickly as too not let him get to far if he ran off . (which he never has done ) well anyway the cop found him in the garage hiding in back of something in front of the car. Apparently hubby looked around the car but didnt go in front of it ahhhhh. He gets so worked up right away instead of just looking closer. Im sorta embarrased he had everyone looking when he was right there all along. Although my son should of came when called he does llike to play at hiding . I didnt want to fight about it since we actually have been getting along pretty well latley. But I thought to myself let the younger one in the car till the older one gets in thats what I do. In fact she can get into the house fine on her own. Ok done my vent. Lisa

Even though his reaction to it was premature, he is better in doing that then being one of those people who wait and wait and in the end is the reason the child is gone or dead.

Yes of course you are right. And I agree. We did actually lose my daughter when she was 6 when we were camping at a state park and she has adhd and dosnt always answer a call , she decided to go on a walk we had taken earlier that day that we said we do after dinner. But she just went without waiting for us. And there we did get everyone envolved at once. She was found 15 minutes later by people walking and she had lost her shoe so that clued them in that she wasn't a typical 6 year old and they got her to where my husband was looking. I guess I just wished I was home when it happened last night and it woulndt of happend thats all. I feel like I can't even go to the drs by myself without something happening lol.. Lisa

omg I have been there! my oldest dd hid from me once at my mom's house... we were looking frantically for her, yelling and I was bawling and completely freaking out. My mom finally found her underneath a sewing table that had a skirt around it so she couldn't be easily seen. She thought it was some kind of game and refused to answer me even though I was crying so hard. Why oh why do kids do that?!?!?!? It's like they enjoy giving us a heart attack LOL

How scary for your husband! There must be nothing more terrifying than thinking something's happened to your child. I can't imagine. Glad everything's OK.
