You know what, I would not put it pass anyone to pretend to not be all there, cause he seemed to get the point that you did not want anything.
I agree on how rude that was, good thing you did not buy anyhting.

a similar thing happened to me right after jacob was born. all alone with a new baby and a guy comes to the door wanting a ride to a city about 30 minutes away. his brother had been in an accident and was hospitalized. i said no, and he responded much the same way. later on i looked outside and the guy was across the street sitting on the curb outside the pysch outpatient clinic across the street talking to the police.

It sounds like he was trying to sell you magazines. We have people come to our house at least once a year, saying they need my help to get them these points, I think it is to help pay part of their way for school. They always seem to belong to some church organization which is probably why he said "Only the Christians help". That was a very rude comment, but he has probably been discouraged by all of the negative responses he's had, especially if he was a little slow and had a hard time explaining what he was doing at your door.

I had the same type of person come to my house to sell magazines, from a christian organization, and slow. I actually needed to a subscription because on of mine was about to run out, but when he told me it was going to cost me $40 when it normally costs me $12 I said noway.

It was weird though, I remember seeing the same order form from someone selling magazines at the mall when I was in highschool. It cost me $40 then too (I didn't know how much a subscription was supposed to cost) and I never recieved the magazine's. It was a scam! Be glad you didn't order from him!!
