I am a horrible mother

I did a horrible thing.
I accidentally locked Nicholas in the car today. I had no spare key, so I had to call the police and then the locksmith.
It was horrible and I had never done that before. Hope it never happens again.
The police came, 2 ambulances and the locksmith. They sat and talked like it was okay and it had been almost 20 minutes!
I was so upset about it all. The locksmith laughed after he said that will be cash, check or credit. Not funny!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, the good thing is, Nicholas is fine, thank god!

I'm so sorry you went through that!!
I am so sorry for you.
Don't worry about it. I did the same thing when Marissa was 3 weeks old. But it was 11:00 at night and I was at the grocery store trying to find something for colic. (remember those days:) DH worked very close to the store and he worked second shift and was just getting off work and had an extra key. I was crying the whole time Marissa on the other hand was awake but happy as could be.

Everyone has moments like that, dont think you're a bad mother!! I bet you were soo scared, but im soo glad they opened the door and Nicholas was ok.
(((Mel))) you are NOT a horrible mom at all!! It was an accident! Don't beat yourself up over it. We all do stuff like that. One time after the twins were born, I was so tired, I put Justin in the tub and fell asleep on the bed. All the water drained out, and he sat wet and cold for about half an hour. I was passed out and not supervising him. He could have cracked his head open in the tub, it was slippery! When I finally got him, his lips wer blue and he was shivering. I felt sooooo bad, but I was so sleep-deprived!
You are a wonderful Mommy and mistakes happen! Thank goodness he was OK, but don't blame yourself.
Hugs,
Sofia
It is so scary. I did that in the middle of the summer! Luckily the car was running which meant the a/c was on. My ds was just sitting eating his crackers looking at me like I was insane for standing outside!
I'm glad it turned out okay. The bad mother would have gone in the store/house, spent 1/2 hour picking her nose before remembering she had a child!
Just my thoughts,
from a lurker.
:)
Mel you are a great mom!
