to Florida. Me and my girls were talking DH into driving to Florida yesterday to see the shuttle launch today, but it was scrubbed. When we went to Disneyworld in 2002 we had heard of the shuttle going to be launched while we were there so we went to Cape Canaveral (sp?) and found a pretty good spot. We were there for about an hour waiting till finally a lady next to us had a friend that worked at NASA and she was on the phone with her and said that the launch had been scrubbed. Boy we were so sad that we didn't get to witness it. Apparently they did it a couple of weeks after we had left. That was the launch that during re-entry blew up over the Texas sky. I want to witness a launch sometime in my lifetime, I am such a geek when it comes to space/astronomy or anything associated with it...lol.

I have been to a few.
My parents use to drive us a few hours before at night and when we got there we sat in the cars and waited. It was awesome, especially during the dark time.
I almost went as well, but glad we did not. If you end up going and it doesnt happen, you can still tour the area and so on, its fun.
