I can't sleep! I have tried everything. I don't know why but I feel like I have butterflies in my tummy...like I am nervous about something. But I don't have anything to be nervous about..go figure! Thank god I let the kids stay up late. Matt is doing testing for school so our school hours have been short.

Anyway I found this really neat project that Dh and I are going to do..it looks really neat! You get to find out what you most basic roots are!

omg Traci, my grandma would die if she knew she could this thing (the link you gave)

She is a total geneology fanatic, and has the family history down for a hundred + years.

Let us know what you find out! It's pretty cool to dig back and find out. There is a church here (I think it's a Mormon church) that does geneology for a donation. They do a pretty good job, my cousin tried it, and they got some good dirt lol!!!

Glad I am not alone! I wonder if that church could untangle my family mess! I would love to know my geneology but I am lazy and it is hard to figure out in my family who is lying about what. My mother has claimed 3 different fathers for herself alone..that doesn't even mention the fathers for me!! lol

LOL, I know the feeling. When my grandma found out my cousin was doing this, she freaked, she thought they would want money ect, but they did it, and got info that matched what my grandma got, plus some.

Grandma also wrote letters to government buildings in England, and Ireland (where she was from) with names of family members. I think she had to dig up b-dates ect, but they did eventually send her copies of birth cert, death cert, marriage certs of people from WAY back in her family. It was funny, the "ladies" papers said under marital status (if they weren't married by the age of 20"...Spinster. lol, I almost died laughing.

The death certs were fairly amusing as well, it was all hand written, and had the most bizare description of death, like massive sneeze, or hungry heart...wth!!! oh, another one was toenail. That's all it said. That was my great-great-great grandfather. My great grandfather told my grandma that his grandfather was biten by a snake, on the foot. So it makes sense...toe nail as cause of death lol!!!

I wish I had the time and patience to find out about my family history. Doesn't that cost a lot of money to do?
Good luck and have fun with it.
