I finally finished the dalmation costume for my dd last night (her class party was today). I feel like I've sewed a million little black dots! I ended up getting adhesive black felt, cutting out the dots and then sewing in stitch in each one. I had this vision of little black dots falling off all over school : )
Oh the things we do for our kids...
Everyone else have their kids costumes ready? Any moms dress up?

What do you mean are any moms dress up for Halloween? Well, of course...we would be having fun in St. Louis if we didn't...We are the Mystery Gang...my ds is Freddy, dd is Velma, dd's friend is Dalphne, dh is Scooby and I'm Shaggy! We have a party on Saturday. Halloween night my ds is going to be a construction worker so he can drive his Gator around the neighbor. I made him a stop sign carry. He and sissy are hoping to fill the bed of the truck up with candy. lol.

The girls costumes are ready. They are both store bought this year. Elise is going to be a fairy and Olivia Sleeping Beauty. I would love to dress up, but I'm so huge I don't think I could find a costume, lol! Plus I just don't think I have the energy to dress them up and me, too! You'll have to take a pic of your dd in her costume to show us your handy work!!! :)

Reminds me of the year I glued hundreds of sequins to Katie's Tinkerbell costume! My BIL stopped over while I was doing it, and he told me I was out of my mind! LOL! But, I have so much fun making their costumes! You should see the Ord costume I made for Katie in kindy (She LOVED Ord from Dragon Tales that year). Very elaborate, for me. I even impressed myself.

This year, Molly is using the Tinkerbell costume (I've gotten lots of use out of that one) and Katie is Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Someone at church gave us a beautiful Dorothy costume. I just needed to hem it and put braids in her hair. Voila!!

No, I'm not dressing up. I know - I'm no fun! It is enough work getting costumes together for the girls, let alone myself!!
