The basic concept is that you eat every three hours, but you really control what you eat and how much you eat, ie. your calorie intake is controlled.

Oh now I understand, it sounds like the diet my dr put me on when I was having problems with bad heartburn and a feeling of a heavy brick always being in my upper abdomen. It was horrible because he took everything I eat out of my diet ie: sauce, caffeine, milk, ice cream, CHOCOLATE, etc. etc.

LOL, I couldn't diet if my life depended on it!! Although I do eat pretty healthy, I do everything in moderation and eat out only once in awhile. I would rather work my butt off at the gym and eat however I want, it works me for ;-)

I'm the same way, I have zero will power, and am dreading trying to lose the baby weight after I have my 2nd DD, so right now I'm enjoying the last few weeks eating what I want before I try and jump into a diet! LOL!

I just struggled to lose 40 pounds after the birth of my second son. I have quit many things in my lifetime. I was a chef before I had kids and I love to cook, bake and eat. I just try to take smaller portions of the meals I love so I don't feel deprived and don't eat many sweets at all! That was my key to losing the weight. Now that I've lost it I have more energy and can eat sweets without it affecting my weight. I definitely don't miss the overfull bloated and tired feeling that you get by eating too much. Good luck and don't get discouged. If you belive in yourself it will happen. Everyone else noticing will just be a perk.

Take it one day at a time, even one meal at a time! Don't worry about reading the book. Keep it simple! The simpler you keep it, the less "psycho" you'll get about food and eating. I know that when I KNOW I'm supposed to be watching my cals, I mysteriously become much hungrier than usual. When I'm not really thinking about it, I tend to eat less! Crazy! If you ate too much at one meal or you ate junk, then the very next time you eat just do your best to make it smaller and healthier. Don't beat yourself up. Again, just take it one meal at a time. Keep it up!!!!
