We painted Daltons room almost 2 months ago.
We have had problems ever since. It was painted red and we found out that the can of paint was no good. It left the walls smelling real bad, even after we painted it. We called the paint place and they offered to pay for the paint to fix it. Well, it didnt help.
We ended up painting 4 layers of paint and still nothing has helped.
We finally went to Wal-Mart and bought their kid paint. We thought we would try the smell packets you can buy to put in the paint. Bad idea! It is almost as bad as the bad can of paint smell.
I just don't know what to do. The packet says up to 5 months before the smell will go away. UGH.
I am so scared to let him sleep in that room. I have tried fans, vents, deodorizers, nothing has helped.

What in the world is a smell packet to put in paint???
I have never heard of that!!!
Sorry the smell still hasn't gone away. Did the paint company say if it is dangerous for him to sleep in the room, or is it just a bad smell? I hope the fumes aren't toxic, is there anyway of finding out? I wouldn't think that it would be, but better to be safe.

This is just liquid that you pour into the paint and it makes the walls smell for a certain amount of time.
Hey Mel,
I am not sure it will work since it is in the paint itself. Suppose to do this, just too strong........
Thanks
