I took a pound of hamburger out of the freezer on Tuesday...we ended up having McDonalds for dinner so I put it in the fridge. Then last night we ate out...so now I'm wondering, do you think the hamburger would be ok to use today??

I wouldn't use it, I think they say bacteria starts to grow after you defrost in the first 24 hours.

I think today would be the limit.....what are you using it for? If you brown it before adding anything to it, I'm sure you'd be able to *smell* if it was okay....

I would think it would be ok Mel, but you can go "ask jeeves" online. It's http://www.askjeeves.com and you just type in what ever question and see if you can come up with something. Or you could just call your local meat guy if you're really worried. G/L!!

I'd go by how it smells and looks, you might not even notice the smell til you start cooking.

If you have any doubt at all toss it.
