I am a little sad that we have to cut my 7 year old's hair. He got a part playing a little boy with leukemia and they need his hair off! I have tried to think of a way to save it...he can have no hair showing with a baseball cap on and it will have to be shaved :(

Matt is all for it though, this is a spiritual based play and Matt will be in a flashback scene that will be filmed for a play. He plays a child with leukemia and his mother is going to commit suicide, she has lost a child and has been diagnosed with cancer and feels she has nothing to live for. The play is a take on it's a wonderful life with this mother who learns to see what good she has done. The scenes with the angel are hilarious! He is dressed in really funny costumes and a different accent each time.

Matt is an amazing boy...I swear he teaches me as much as I teach him! I was whining about his hair and he said "But mommy, my hair can grow back...God needs me to do this for people in the audience who need him!" God my

Awwww! That's wonderful! Be proud that he has such a big heart and wants to give of his soul this way. It'll grow back quick anyways. You may find that he's even more handsome (if that's possible!!) with a crew cut! Good luck.

Hi, I am sorry I do not mean to be rude, But what am I missing here, you said your child is 7 yrs old right? well what kind of play would reguire a 7 yr old to cut his hair, I mean most school's and drama clubs and such would just do the best they could, get a bald head thing for his head, or pin it up and wear a hat, etc. Why do you HAVE TO?

I am truly just asking here, I think it ig great that your son is so willing to do this and he sounds great I am just wondering, cause my older dd has taken drama for years and I don't think I would have her hair cut for a roll. I don't know. GL to him, the play sounds sad.

Well I would love to put all of Matt's accomplishments on here but you all might kick me out of here for bragging so much..LOL

Most work that Matt does is professional, and this is one of them. His scene will be on a giant screen and a professional look is a must. The shoot is going to cost a lot of money and investors would not be happy with a fake bald head :)

If this was just for a school drama then I would definitely not cut it. Matt is used to this though and he had to grow his hair out...lol for a independent film over the summer. So we are just doing the opposite. I guess I am more sad because his hair just seems so much a part of his personality.

Thanks for asking :)
