yeah I know... "but the doctor's not in" right? ha ha
seriously, here's the deal..
Mom had to drink her radiation med this morning (5 times the amount they gave her last time) and has to maintain a 6 foot distance from everyone for the next week, and can't sleep in the bed with my stepdad for at least 2 weeks. She's basically in solitary confinement for the next couple of weeks (which is going to be torture since my mom is extrovert of the year).
Anyway, I'm making a kind of survival kit/care package as a surprise to send to her (she lives in another state btw... don't know if I ever mentioned this). I bought her a word search book, some gourmet cookies, some of her favorite coffee, and I'm going to take a picture of the kids and put it in a frame. I'll have the girls color a picture to send too.
Here's the problem: I want to make a video tape of the kids to send to her, but I'm not sure what to put on it. Should I just have them talking to her, or should I film them playing as well. I don't want it to be boring, but then again I also don't want it to be too short or too long.
need some opinions here...
TIA!!!

what a great idea Desiree, I'm sure she'll love whatever you put on the tape. You could probably film them sleeping, and she'd love it lol.

thats such a good idea!! I would film the kids playing, and have them say hi, and what they are doing that day or somethin ya know? If they want to say more, let them. My Dh's mom lives out of state and we sent a video with Dominic dancing and saying hi, and they LOVED it. Im sure she will love anything you send:)
Desiree, I think all those things sound great. Maybe you can record the girls singing her songs or reading her books. Just my idea. You sound like such a great daughter.

here is my suggestions:
You can have the kids write their onw play or musical and then act it out on the video. Or have them write poems or songs and then read or sing them to her.
I do think it is a great idea for you to do that for her.
I hope this time goes by fast for her.

I'm sorry your family is experiencing this again.
