I am supposed to be hosting a friends stagette party this Saturday. I have no idea what to do. We are getting all the guys & girls together in the evening for a harbour booze cruise. And in the day, the guys are golfing. One of the groom to be's passions. As far as the day time activities for the ladies, I don't know what to do!!! Help please!!!! Have you ever been to a fun stagette??? What did you do? As dearly as I love her, she doesn't really have any hobbies or interests. So nothing stands out. She's also deathly afraid of heights or andything invloving effort...sounds like a fun time!!! lol!!!

But I do want to do something more than have a ladies lunch. Any input? This is happening on Saturday.

TIA,

Lesley

How about going to a spa for a facial/manicure/pedicure or something like that?

Makeovers - Find a "color" consultant who can come over and analyze everybody's colors and possibly do free makeovers. Or call the mall cosmetic counters and see if anyone will do free makeovers for "the girls." You can send somebody out for starbucks cappuccinos while the makeovers are in progress, and bring along womens' magazines or silly things like Cosmo or People or even the National Inquirer as reading material.

Lingerie - Or have every attendee kick in $10 and drag the bride-to-be to victoria's secret and make her choose (and model if it is modest enough) lingerie for the honeymoon.

Video - Or go to a "chick flick." Or rent one. Pick a movie that her new husband is highly unlikely to wish to attend/see and everybody can sit around eating individual pints of Ben & Jerry's and watching videos.

Luncheon - Or have everybody bring food to a pot luck luncheon and have them bring the recipes. Then y'all can do up a recipe box to put them into.

Scrapbooking- if she's the kind of person who might like scrapbooking, you can gather up all of the supplies to create a honeymoon scrapbook, and you can work collectively on creating a title page, etc. You can take a roll or two of pictures from a digital or instant camera that can be put in the book.

How about a Hawaiian Lau(sp?) since it is the end of summer(store wise) buy some of those little inflatible pools and put beside outdoor tables. put in floating candles and even silk flowers.

I'm sorry ladies, but some of those suggestions are kind of boring!! Here is my suggestion!! Go dancing!! Reserve a booth or table at your local pub, or better yet dance club, and go out!! No one has to get drunk or smashed, but just go out and be "the girls" again for a night!! Dance, and have fun!! That is my suggestion. After all, soon she will be married and having babies, etc. and she won't have time to go out and do these things!! Have fun, whatever you choose to do!!

How about a "full tea lunch" at a tea house, I don't know if you've any in your area. You have a full tea, dress up in big feathery, frilly hats and boas. It's actually alot of fun. I'm sure someone will have some really great sugg's for you.
