I have an 11 month dd, and just had my 3 year old neice since Saturday, until this evening, and survived!!!!

I now know, I can never have a daycare, or babysit full time from home.

If it was my own kid, it would be different. But she lives in another city, and I hardly ever see her. I love her dearly, but I can't understand her words. I had NO IDEA what she was saying half the time. We had fun, but man, was it tiring. She is an only child, so the idea of sharing toys was foreign to her.

As Dora (the Explorer) would say... "we did it, we did it..."

(something new I learnt this weekend... By the way, what's the deal with these "Wiggles" guys??? They seem a bit odd to me.

I just got done watching my God daughter full time. I watched her every week and I just couldnt handle it anymore. She was very needy and had some "not so great habits" that she was teaching to my 3 yr old son. So finally I told her mom no more. I have 2 kids a ds who is 3 yrs and a DD who 11 months. So watching a 3rd was just too much for me. Some people can do it and they love it...not me...lol. Trust me when your 11 month gets a lil older you will become very familiar to Dora,Blue, wiggles and etc....lol. The Wiggles are weird, but my son use to love them. Their songs would stay in my head all day long...very annoying..lol.

LOL..I just got done watching The Wiggles for the third time today, twice on the east feed and once on the west. I also sat through Dora and Blue. When you daughter gets a little older you'll get used to it. I'm 22 weeks pregnant right now with number 2 so it will be double the pleasure for me before too much longer.

Yes, look out before you know it you will be dreaming of the Wiggles and singing their songs all day long. Both my hubby and I take turns saying "I can't get that darn Wiggles song out of my head". My daughter who just turned 2 finally gave them up. Whew, but now it is on to a new lady called Miss Patty Cake and it is driving us nuts!! :) When I first saw the Wiggles I thought I was in the twilight zone. They are bizarre, but the kids love them.

Oh the Wiggles!!! Yes, they ARE weird, but man oh man do they help me out when I need my son (20 mos.) to sit down and stay in one room for a while. He LOVES them! Will watch tape after tape over and over. He started his interest after his 1st b-day when he received a few videos.

I read up on the Wiggles b/c they were so odd to me, and from what I remember they are friends from college where they were studying for child related majors and I believe one or two, or maybe all, were involved in music.

Finding Nemo is also a great way to entertain your little one when you need to get stuff done.

Try Veggie Tales....those are the best. My sons room is done in Blues Clues and Veggie Tales....we couldnt make up our minds...lol. I watch more kids shows then adult. My hubby wonders how I can keep it on Noggin all day without going nuts. I am such a selfless mother...lol.

I'm a bit late jumping in...sorry!

Glad you survived! I babysit my GF's daughter on ocassion and it totally wipes me out! Julia is 11 months and my friend's daughter is 13 months...they play well together but when Ryleigh is away from her mother, she gets very clingy, which makes Julia kind of jealous. The first time I had both of them, I was totally worn out by noon (still having 5 hours left to go) and wanted to curl up under a rock and disappear.....LOL!!!

I had to LOL at your Dora reference...Dora is a BIG HIT in this house and I was singing "We did it...we did it" right along with you!

BTW...I'm a Canadian too!
