This past Saturday, June 5, we had her party (her actual b-day was May 31) It was 2 days from hell.... the previous week we were grocery shopping & planning, then the night before, cooking & prepping, then the morning of the party, we were up at 5:30am, to cook and prep more! There were 85 people in attendence, 60 more than I would have liked... my dh is from a different country were everything is done big. I only invited my mom & step dad, aunt & grandma. I have a huge family, but didn't want to deal with it.
Anyways, dd had fun, I guess... kind of hard to tell. I told dh that next year, we are going to Hawaii for her birthday! It would probably be cheaper and easier!!!!
What a shame, she won't even remember it, but she did a nice job wrecking the cake!!!!
I had a good laugh,
Lesley

Happy birthday to you dd.
Wow! You think you are stressed now? I'd hate to see how big her wedding will be...LOL!
Glad it went well, Happy B-day to dear daughter!
Come back and post about the party I'll bet it was a doozie!

I don't even want to think about the wedding!!!! LOL!!!!
That will kill me! My dh's sister had over 300 people at her wedding ( she was the first child, and only girl) When dh and I married, we had 140 people. Too big for me, but all I wanted was me and him, toes in sand, bing bang boom...done!
AAAAKKKKK!!!!! Hopefully his dad will get all this houpla out of his system before my dd gets married. Unfortunatly, when we have a boy (if ever) HE will be the last one to carry on the family name... I tell dh all the time, "it's like royalty, but without the money or prestige!"
Here's hoping for baby #2 to be a girl!!!

Sounds exhausting......But I'm dancing in my chair right now, thinking of my DS's 1st birthday party.
