That is so sad. It makes me wonder why these gifts God has given to us can go un-noticed. I wonder why this mother cannot see that her child needs security and empathy that only his mother could provide.
I will pray for this baby, not only that this child come through his physical difficuty, but that others around him will give him the attention, strength and love that his mother lacks in.
Thank you for posting that... I needed to be reminded to handle things the way the Lord wants us to, rather than letting my emotions get out of control.

You know that happened to me when dd was first born. She was in the hospital for a month (she was a preemie) and their were parents who did that alot. And from what I could see it was the norm. My daughter was in her room for 30 days and I was in her room with her for 30 days and if I wasn't dh was there. He would let me go home for the night and get a break, but first thing in the morning I was back. The docs/nurses kept telling me to leave during the day and go "out" and they would watch Taylor. I was like, Uh, NO! We will be fine. That children's hospital had less than 10 channels and a vcr, we made due with reading nursing and lots
Oh my how sad. I would of wanted to go hold the baby myself. I have thought about volunteering as a baby rocker at one of the hospitals around here. What was that mom thinking?
That is very sad. How horrible for any person to leave their child alone like that in a time of need. I hope this does not become a habit for the mother. Aslo, where was the father??
