potty training always makes for some of the most hysterical moments in parenting, and we've had some doozies this week that i just had to share.

tristan is potty-training and doing pretty well on the whole, but he's had some rather amusing accidents this week. on wednesday he was obsessed with alleria's purple tu-tu and insisted on wearing it all day, nothing, not even daddy's fears of crossdressing, could get him out of it. me being me, i said screw it and let him wear it, of course. so we were at walmart and i was distracted trying to pick out fabric and somehow missed his insistance that he had to pee. i guess he got tired of waiting, because he took off his undies and decided to go right in the cart. but the funny thing was that when he took his undies off he somehow managed to get his business trapped in the waistband of the tu-tu, so when he peed it when straight up into his face!!! i turned around to see this charming little stream arching directly into his startled little face! i've never seen him so pissed in his life, all puns intended :)

then today he stayed dry all through nap today and was doing the pee-pee dance when he woke up. he finally got his pants off (he won't let me help, little goober) and sat down, but the combo of sleep and just waking up had left him with the 3 inch baby equivialent of morning wood and instead of things going into the potty like they should, he ended up peeing straight out across the room, wetting the carpet, the couch, and even the dog!! poor honey, he was so horrified it was just too funny, and i'm sure i made thing worse with my hysterical laughter. but if you could have just seen my 12 year old dog give him the dirtiest, most offended look you would have died laughing too!

I wanted to know what kind of looks people gave you with Tristan having that purple tu tu on!!! LOL I am still picturing him pee peeing in his own face! LOL poor little guy. I hope you got a picture to blackmail him with when he is a teenager!

My ds's both had a thing for mommy's clothes for a while! Dh was so horrified he refused to go to the store with me one day when Nick was wearing some of my shoes! lol Little boys like to be like mommy to, that's who they are most around...duh.

Thanks for the laugh!

That is enough to make anyone's day better even though he was terrified. Oh the good ale days. I remember those. My youngest son peed off a bridge during 4th of July fireworks last year. That was pretty funny. Have a good day. LOL

about the same looks that they give me when he goes out in his Buzz Lightyear undies and yellow raincoat, hee-hee. both of my kids have a very strong sense of 'fashion,' and i feel like there's much better things to be arguing about that what they're wearing lol. some of the outfits are a real hoot though....the other day trist refused to wear anything of his own, and after saying no to alleria's snow white outfit, mommy's lingerie, and a sparkling cape left over from halloween dad was at the end of his rope. so he rigged up this ingenious contraption of silk boxers held together at tristan's shoulders with safety pins, and trist happily wore that for the rest of the day, lol. alleria went to dinner with her grandparents yesterday in the infamous purple tu-tu and galoshes, *shakes head* we're certainly going to have some explaining to do when they're 18 and looking at the family photo album!

glad you got a laugh....
