My goodness, it's been a brutal few days. tuesday, as some know, a storm blew in and reaked havok on our home. Our fence in the whole townhouse complex is gone now (from the wind) and we lost our awning in our yard, a tree hit our roof, a tree branch broke a window. We were over 30 hrs without power, so that meant no heat, hot water ect, as we are on electric heating. We couldn't get food from a restaurant because most roads were closed off, and still are. Even the shopping malls were closed...gasp lol.
The winds where we live were between 68-74 miles per hour. The power just came back on about 5 hrs ago, so I quickly boiled water, because there is a water advisory, and boiled more to clean Jett's bottles, and threw a load of mixed (ick) laundry in.
The storm is picking back up right now, so I may not be back for a few days.
Have a good weekend, and thanks to everyone who said I looked good in that pic of me and dh from a while back LOL!

OMG Lesley! I'm glad you're all OK, but what a pain. You must be soooo ready for some calm and sunshine. That's kind of scary. What was it, snow or rain? I hope the weather settles down for you and the power comes back on. Stay inside!
We had some freaky weather last night, too. Remnants of the Hurricane that hit the North Carolina coast. Pouring rain and bad wind.
I hope I see you around here and you all stay dry and warm. I miss you!
And where's that picture? I didn't see it! ;)
Hugs,
Sofia
Scary!!!
When I saw the video I knew it was bad but I had no idea!
