this actually makes me feel a little green. I've mentioned in the dyk thread that dh has had a few job offers lately but turned them down. He's currently working about 4 minutes from home, hours are mon-fri 7am - 3:30pm, so its really convienient.
Anyhow, one of the people who was after him a few weeks ago, called him at work this morning and re-offered him the job. This time, they offered even more money than before (about $6.00/hr more) and another week vacation bringing the holiday time to 4 weeks, plus full benefits, and 2 weeks sick or personal time. He will be on a shift that is mon - thursday 10 hr days, but will have friday, saturday, sunday off every week (which is awesome) but will be gone longer days and plus the long drive each way.
The downfall is that for the next year until the new facility is built in the city we live in, he will be going to a different city thats about an hour drive eachway. Which means we will have to get another little commuter car because there's no way we could afford the gas in the yukon for that much driving. omg this makes me ill. I'm very worried about the change because he has it so well in his current company. This offer is appealing though. He wants to have my opinion today when he gets home. I don't want to be responsible for him making a change that could be either good or bad kwim? I hate change, but maybe i should just tell him to take it? The guy who will be his boss, used to be his boss at the place he works now, so he knows and likes the guy. Ackkkk, I feel all queasy. Did I mention I hate change? lol

((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))
The commute is only temporary, however, i understand the concern about having to get a commuter car, the gas prices, ect..
Did he mention this new offer to his current boss?
something to think about:
will the extra money per hour even cover the cost of gas? with gas prices as they are now it's definitely something to consider!
G/L with your decision!!
So? What did you tell him? Did he decide yet? Sitting on the edge of my seat........
