where's the crying emoticon when you need it?

My child is completely wearing me out. She was doing so much better with her attitude until I got pg again, and now it's just complete chaos. She constantly whines, talks like a baby, throws MAJOR temper tantrums, hits, picks fights with her little sister, runs her smart mouth CONSTANTLY, and hides Hannah's toys from her or tries to tear them up.

I am physically unable to deal with this everyday. Time outs DO NOT WORK! When I do finally break down and tear her little butt up with the paddle, it completely drains me. DH threw her favorite barbie in the trash last week because she screamed at me and hit me with her fists. Yeah she's been better since, but she's still acting like a little snot towards everyone.

I know she's p.o.'d right now because she's having to share her room with Hannah, and she's jealous of the baby. I also know that once the baby comes that things WILL get better... we've been down this road before when I was pg w/ Hannah.

I'm not posting this for advice, so please don't give me any. I'm angry and upset and right now and I just need to vent. I don't dare bring up this subject with my mother... if I have to hear the words "consistent discipline and love" one more time I'm going to SCREAM. That's all the child gets. We're not idiots, we know how to raise our child... I just also know that this all stems from jealousy over her siblings and that it's a power struggle because she wants to be in control. She knows that I can't follow through because I'm not able right now, so she is taking advantage of that and trying to walk all over me.

I feel so bad for DH because every night he comes home it's the same old crap. I would love for him to come home and not have to deal with spanking her butt for the way she treated me and Hannah all day.

thanks for letting me vent...

When I was pregnant with the twins, Wil was 3--once he figured out there were more babies coming, he turned into turbo monster turkey baby. He even tried to flush a pile of onesies down the toilet. . . when I caught him, he threw them at me, WET!!! :) I'm sorry you're having such a hard time right now--try to hang in there. Maybe somebody can give you and hubby a night out--even if it's just to sit on your butt somewhere quiet lol! I'll be praying for you--
